The "AssignedIOSSIdentifier" macro is a tool designed to automate the assignment of IOSS (Import One-Stop Shop) identifiers to orders within the system. It streamlines the process of identifying orders eligible for IOSS and ensures compliance with VAT regulations for e-commerce transactions involving goods imported into the European Union.
This guide provides a step-by-step explanation of how to install and set up the macro in Linnworks.
There are three steps you need to complete to start using the macro:
Install the application.
Go to Apps > Application Store > AssignedIOSSIdentifier > click Install and follow the on-screen instructions until the installation is complete.
Configure the macro.
Configure the rule in the Rules Engine screen.
Once the AssignedIOSSIdentifier app is installed:
Go to Apps > Macro Configuration and click + Add new configuration.
2. Select the AssignedIOSSIdentifier macro and click Create Configuration.
In the Macro Configuration screen, specify the below details and click Save:
Make sure to enable the macro to continue with the Rules Engine configuration.
Parameter Input:
orderIds: List of order IDs representing the orders to be evaluated for IOSS assignment.
Rules Engine Integration:
Seamlessly integrates with the Rules Engine, enabling it to be invoked based on predefined conditions or scheduled intervals.
IOSS Assignment:
Automatically assigns IOSS identifiers to orders based on predetermined rules.
Evaluates each order's eligibility for IOSS based on criteria such as destination country, value of goods, etc.
Logging and Error Handling:
Implements logging mechanisms to record actions for transparency and facilitate troubleshooting in case of errors.
Parameters:
orderIds: List of order IDs representing the orders to be evaluated for IOSS assignment.
Execution:
Execute the macro within the Rules Engine interface.
Trigger the IOSS assignment manually or schedule it to run at specified intervals.
Outcome:
Automatically assigns IOSS identifiers to eligible orders.
Ensures compliance with VAT regulations for e-commerce transactions involving goods imported into the European Union.
Provides confirmation upon completion of the IOSS assignment process and delivers any pertinent status updates or notifications.
